Bang takes a stand on gourmet snags

SYDNEY, May 17, 2011 – Creative communications agency Bang is on a roll with its latest branding project for Snag Stand, a gourmet sausage grill in the new Westfield on Pitt Street.

Bang worked closely with Snag Stand’s owners - the same team behind successful Mexican outlet Mad Mex - to create the entire brand story for the grill, including creative concept, naming, identity, design and copy, packaging and collateral, menus, t-shirts, signage and website.

With its tagline, “the home of heavenly haute dogs”, Snag Stand redefines the category, creating an artisan sausage experience with a focus on hand-crafted small batch production, high quality ingredients and relationships with Australia’s most awarded butchers. Varieties include the Spicy Spanish Chorizo, the Pork & Fennel Italian and the Wagyu Beef.

Phillip Blanco, co-owner of Snag Stand said, “Bang completely got what we were trying to create here, which is to elevate the humble sausage to a ‘haute dog’ – a quality, artisanal snag delivered in a stylish and hip grill environment. From creative concepts to interiors and execution, we’ve been impressed with the entire Bang team in helping us bring the venture to life.”

The Snag Stand concept and designs simply and memorably fit the expectations consumers now have for high quality food experiences, while remaining accessible and relevant with a ‘tongue-in-cheek’ link to Australia’s long and positive association with snags, BBQs and good times.

Bang adds the recently opened Snag Stand to its list of upmarket food clients Becasse, Quarter Twenty One and Charlie & Co.
