Internode is an internationally connected IP carrier and Internet Service Provider with its own private network. Already a household name in South Australia, Internode engaged Bang to help redevelop its brand and raise its profile throughout Australia.
This involved some fine tuning of the company’s brand positioning and a fresh, invigorating design look and feel, with a style and copy tone to be applied across a range of materials and activities: from direct mail pieces and print ads to exhibition stands and airport billboards. Importantly, we needed to reach different audiences including residential, smaller businesses and corporate clients – while critically, we needed to ensure we did not alienate Internode’s traditional customer base of Internet-loving geeks, highly technical business users, gaming enthusiasts and everyday residential users. These close customer relationships are the foundation of Internode’s business and crucial for its ongoing success.
After a brand foundations review, interviews with employees, customers and partners, consultation with the senior management team and a workshop, we arrived at the understanding that Internode, simply, loves the Internet. (The company has been at the forefront of the Internet in Australia, driving web innovation since 1987.)
Two examples of our Internode work include a South Australian direct marketing campaign, and exhibition stands for CeBIT and GO3. The direct mail utilised an accessible, user-friendly, colour coded style to succinctly deliver information on Internode’s products and services, to a range of audiences.
Our Internode stands appeared at GO3 – Australia’s premier gaming event – and CeBIT – the international business technology event. Using vibrant colours and emotive imagery, graphics that presented Internode’s international First Tier IP network, and flash animation presentations, the exhibition stands delivered a fully-interactive experience of the Internode brand. |
