Simon Fitch has joined Sydney-based Bang as General Manager after almost
three years as a Managing Director with JWT, first in Sydney and then
Auckland.
He left JWT in July to return to his native
Sydney after commuting between his job and his family for the past two
years.
Before that he spent three years in Singapore
at Batey Ads. He's also worked at Sudler & Hennessey, Batey Kazoo,
Saatchi & Saatchi and was managing director of the Campaign
Palace from 1987 to 1994.
Says Fitch: "I'm very excited about this opportunity. Bang is one of
this country's leading B2B/IT agencies creating beautiful, innovative,
quirky, and engaging creative work for clients like Cisco, IBM,
Microsoft and Telstra. But more recently the agency has been working
with the City of Sydney creating a brand identity for Glebe and is
Investec's full-service agency.
Bang's most recent creative highlight has been the imminent launch of
Justin North's new burger restaurant, Charlie & Co. Bang created
every facet of the Becasse chef's new brand, from logo to signage,
menus, uniforms and website. It's this consumer-centric development of
Bang's strategic and creative strengths that has got me most
excited."
Martin Mason, Managing Director of Bang added that the agency had been
looking for some time at how we can grow, and develop the agency into
new areas of business and really take it to the next level.
"To this end we decided that we needed someone with big agency experience to help us on that journey. We are extremely pleased that we have got one of the best in the business in Simon to help us drive our vision forward," he said.
